Purpose of Job:
This position is responsible for support and development functions within the Pharmacy Systems Department in Boise, ID. This includes, but is not limited to, performing Tier 2 business support to store teams running ARx, EPS, and PDX Classic, being a liaison to IT support at both the Tier 2 and Tier 3 level, testing ARx and EPS development releases, potentially working on ARx and EPS requirements and Development Releases as part of a project team, capable of performing user acceptance testing on ARx and EPS, writing test plans, and miscellaneous other tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Systems team management.
Job Responsibilities:
· Customer Service
· Answer ARx and EPS Procedural Questions
· Troubleshoot Procedural questions vs. Software Errors
· Performing Tier 2 Business support via direct store calls, call escalations from the Tier 1 help desk, and from other central support areas.
· Communications with store teams regarding program enhancements.
· Surveying stores via phone for ARx and EPS Support reasons
· Perform testing on ARx and EPS release cycles
· Support other central support areas on ARx and EPS functions
· Must possess excellent ARx and EPS testing skills
· Must be able to effectively write a test plan for use by other individuals
· Must demonstrate competence and desire to be part of a development team project
Specialized Skills:
· Must be proficient in the operations of ARx and EPS
· Problem solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Familiar with Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and Access
· Self Starter
· Able to multi-task
· Must provide excellent customer service
· Should be able to type proficiently (greater than 40 words per minute)
· Should have a strong interest in IT and related fields
· Should have some testing experience on applications
· Should have a strong understanding of Pharmacy Operations
Education/Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent, or higher education.
· Licensed Pharmacy Technician preferred, but training is available.
· Certified Pharmacy Technician, tech specialist preferred, but not required.
· Should have knowledge of the ARx and/or EPS pharmacy application with a minimum of 4 years’ experience.
· Should have experience in Pharmacy Central Support or a strong technical understanding and background
Physical Environment:
· Should be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20lbs.
· Must be able to sit or stand for periods of time up to 8 hours.
