Pharmacy Learning and Development Department Specialist
PURPOSE:
To complete a variety of specialized duties that support functional operations of the Learning and Development Department. The duties in the department specialist job focus on tasks and/or work that are unique to the department and require knowledge and skills that are beyond what are required for general office work.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to maintain effective business relationships within and outside the company
· Computer skills and experience with Word, Excel. Excel skills to include the knowledge to create formulas required
· Access database experience preferred
· Experience with PeopleSoft preferred
· Experience with Learning Management Systems such as the Learning Cart, the Learning Development Center and SourceRx preferred
· Be detail oriented, able to meet deadlines and work with confidential information
· General office skills including typing, filing, answering telephones, taking messages, responding to inquiries, handling incoming and outgoing mail, completion of office forms and the proficient use of office equipment (calculators, photocopier, and telephone)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answer department phones as needed and route to appropriate area
· Manage department Outlook calendars
· Sort, process, file and maintain invoices, receipts, contracts, or other department documents
· Maintain complex records and files, search and investigate information found in files
· Coordinate and communicate travel arrangements for new hires, Learning and Development trainers, Director, Learning and Development programs and company wide
· Process and submit expenses for new hires
· Process and submit payroll for Learning and Development programs and courses
· Utilize Access Database to assist with creating, tracking and reporting budgets according to set expectations
· Process earned continuing education credit to CPEMonitor
· Create compliance and training completion reports using multiple data sources for the department and various functional groups
· Coordinate and communicate invitation process for upcoming Learning and Development classes and programs
· Order and organize training materials necessary to facilitate Learning and Development classes and programs
· Coordinate and communicate training needs to meet company, federal and state specific requirements
· Provide up to date employee status reports to outside vendors and corporate functional group
· Assists in training new employees on job tasks
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
· Most work is performed in a temperature controlled office environment
· Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
· Incumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course fo the workday
· Extensive keyboarding
· Lifting, stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required
