Accounting Clerk III-PBM Pharmacy

Avia Partners Inc, has an opening for a for an accounting clerk position in AVIA’s corporate office in Boise, ID.

 

Position Purpose: This position is responsible for reviewing financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.   They balance books and prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements.  They also monitor monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Prepare periodic financial statements/reports for management or various state and local governmental taxing authorities.  Analyze financial reports and review expense records using a database (ie. Microsoft Access).

·         Support all departmental functions.  Prepare online and upload journal entries to a General Ledger database.

·         Communicate effectively and use good judgment in recommendations.  Closing activities including journal entries, allocations, and Profit and Loss analysis.

·         Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.  Research, analyze and make recommendations relative to reserves and expenses.

·         Review invoices for payment and accrue amounts due for various liabilities

 

Qualifications:

·         High School diploma required.

·         Previous pharmacy or managed care experience required.

·         Advanced level PC skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access databases, in addition to all other Microsoft Office products

·         Ability to coordinate and direct workflow within the department

·         Good organizational and analytical skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

·         High degree of initiative, accuracy and adaptability

·         Self-motivated with the ability to complete work with a minimum of supervision

·         Ability to meet rigid time constraints

·         Honest and trustworthy, exhibiting the strongest business ethics

·         Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Accounting) or equivalent experience.

·         1 - 2 years accounting experience in a large organization with mainframe based accounting

·         Good theoretical and practical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
