340B Analyst
POSITION PURPOSE: Assist 340B Program Manager with day to day activity to support program optimization and growth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Maintain relationship with vendors that administer the 340B program
· Work with Legal on contracts with new Covered Entities
· Implement new programs, educate pharmacy staff, and provide training to control inventory
· Track performance of and audit current programs to ensure compliance to HRSA regulations
· Work closely with Accounting on proper sales recording, gross margin calculations, and inventory calculations
· Provide insight to FP&A team to accurately forecast 340B impact on sales
· Promote program and indicate the value established for Albertsons/Safeway’s participation in 340B programs
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
· 4 year college degree preferred
· 2-3 years in pharmacy operations
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:
· 4 year College Degree preferred
· Pharmacy Technician License
· 2-3 years: Knowledge of pharmacy operations
· 1-2 years: Knowledge of 340B program
· Strong problem solving abilities, attention to detail and multi-tasking
· Solid understanding of financial concepts
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Access
· Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills
· Self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision
KEY CONTACTS:
· Provide weekly updates to entire pharmacy department
· Work with Divisional Pharmacy Managers and Division Pharmacy Operations to resolve issues at their stores
· Communicate with Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents on significant occurrences as well as seek approval for new contracts
· Regularly communicating with vendors on progress of new program implementation and updates on current issues
· Direct contact with Covered Entities
· Drug wholesaler on returns and ordering issues
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
· Some travel may be required
· Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
· Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
· Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
· Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
