The Supply Chain Department has an opening for a Training Supervisor. This position is located in Boise, Idaho.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Distribution Training Supervisor is responsible for managing the developmental processes for warehouse operations, inventory management and transportation operations personnel. These processes include the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of major operational training programs designed to improve the productivity of personnel and develop depth of talent. They also serve as a liaison for organizational development needs between corporate leadership, distribution operations management and frontline supervision.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: •Analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate distribution training deliverables to include but not limited to: •Distribution Operations Systems – WMS, TMS, WCS, CMMS and associated distribution systems •Warehouse and transportation operations including new functional process implementation •New hire onboarding and development •Financial and operational key performance indicator management •Lean six sigma and continuous improvement methods •Regulatory compliance – employee safety, food safety, DOT •Develop a system to identify the need for training by individual and operation to determine the recommended prioritization of training – who, when, what and to what level for improving overall bench strength within the business unit •Complete and administer training directly or through train-the-trainer processes to effectively support the needs of the local distribution operations and business unit •Develop the process for assessing the quality of the training including the comprehension and retention of content by trainees •Partner with and leverage local human resources and distribution operations management as well as corporate learning & leadership development when appropriate to ensure that training content and delivery method is aligned with the organization •Communicate and market progress the results to distribution operations, human resources and corporate leadership •Coordinate and communication efforts and functional responsibilities with other Training Supervisors
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Education Level: •Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent work experience
Experience Level: •3 years experience in distribution operations preferred
Skills and Experiences: •Strong communicator who is at ease in front of a large audience and has effective training facilitation skills •Familiarity with the development and/or responsibility of managing a budget •Minimum one year project management experience •Excellent written and oral communication skills •Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Travel Requirements: •>50%
